Relying on the first-class discipline of Applied Economics and the construction of the doctoral program of public finance, the school boasts notable research achievements around the three research directions of fiscal theory, financial system and social security. Our researchers have successively presided over nearly 40 projects of National Social Science Foundation and National Natural Science Foundation of China, nearly 20 research projects of Humanities and social sciences of the Ministry of education, and nearly 200 research projects in social science planning and research projects of Shandong Province, natural science foundation of Shandong Province, soft science plan projects of Shandong Province, joint research projects jointly built by the Ministry of finance, major financial application research projects of Shandong Province, and personnel of colleges and universities in Shandong Province; have published more than 300 papers in core journals such as Chinese Social Sciences, Economic Research, Quarterly Journal of Economics, World Economy, Finance and Trade Economy, Research on quantity economy, technology and economy, Economic review, management review, agricultural economic issues, financial research, macroeconomic research; have published 37 monographs and textbooks; and have won 41 prizes of the scientific research achievement of colleges and universities, the excellent achievement of social science of Shandong Province, and the national excellent financial theory achievement. In addition, we have 1 talent team of advantageous disciplines and 1 incubation team of SDUFE. In terms of social services, various types of training courses have been held for fiscal and tax management personnel of the whole country and Shandong Province, with more than 10000 on-the-job personnel trained. In order to better serve the local economy and increase the discourse power of scientific research in local social and economic development, the school established Huaihai Institute of Finance and Economics in Jining on May 27, 2017, and signed a cooperation agreement with Rencheng district government of Jining.
