The public finance is one of the dominant disciplines of SDUFE. It was approved, respectively, as the Provincial Quality Course in 2004, the Brand specialty of Shandong Province in 2006, the Shandong Taishan scholar post in 2006, the Characteristic specialty of Ministry of Education in 2007, the Basic discipline construction project of colleges and universities in Shandong Province in 2007, the Provincial Teaching Team of Public Finance in 2010, Ministry of education overseas famous teacher projec in 2011, the Strengthening key disciplines in Shandong Province of the 11th Five-Year, and the Characteristic key disciplines in Shandong Province of the 12th Five-Year. This subject was granted the right to award the degree of doctor in 2013, and selected as the first-class discipline of Applied Economics in Shandong Province in 2016. Moreover, The Modern financial system research base of Humanities and social sciences research platform in Shandong Province and the Collaborative Innovation Center for the transformation of new and old kinetic energy and government financial allocation were approved in 2017.
The further optimization of the key research direction and layout structure of the major is emphasized most recently. According to the needs of discipline and socio-economic development, on the basis of strengthening the existing advantageous secondary disciplines, we should strengthen the optimization and integration of discipline resources, supplemented by the introduction of high-level talents, and actively add interdisciplinary research direction, so as to create a better research environment for the academic team, and constantly improve the quantity and quality of research results.
